Goals
Key Long Term Indicators of a Sustainable Economy: Until Cleveland+ has a dashboard that indicates progress in the greater community toward creating a sustainable regional economy, E4S will use surveys of E4S Network participants, E4S Members and E4S Learning Program participants to indicate growth in 1) participation, 2) progress and 3) commitment to implement sustainable business practices. E4S will share select success stories and triple bottom line (environmental social and economic) project outcomes.
2008 Goals:
- Create a world-class regional network of sustainability practitioners and leaders that provides the social infrastructure required for transformational change. Over the next two years E4S Networks will grow the assets in and the reputation of the network by:
- Expanding the number of participants in the network by 20% a year,
- Growing the number of hubs from one up to three including Cleveland, Akron and a third TBD
- Enriching the composition of the network along industry, affinity, and racial dimensions.
- Strengthen Learning Center Programs with world-class curriculum and process tools to meet regional demand and ensure that learning program participants can move forward with quality and integrity on their sustainability implementation journey. In 2008 the objective of the Learning Center is to deliver programs and tools to serve over 350 unique individuals and over 500 in 2009, doubling the number of participants served in 2007.
- Improve the impact of and further develop the best practices of the E4S Regional Vision Groups: E4S/GEO Solar Challenge, Cleveland+ Biomimicry (C+B) Collaboration and Waste=Revenue. Over the next two years E4S Vision Groups will increase the number of programs and projects that support these visions and capture their successes. One to two new Vision Groups will be started in 2009.
