An E4S Third Tuesday Network Event

January 17, 2006

Andrew Watterson, Cleveland’s Sustainability Programs Manager shared some of the results of sustainability projects the City of Cleveland has started, projects he would like to do and assistance he needs to meet his goals. Following a brief question and answer period, the E4S Network moved into small group discussion to document ideas on how to help the city lead in implementation to impact our region. The E4S staff and Andrew gathered input from the meeting to report findings to the E4S Network, the city administration and the new Mayor, Frank Jackson. Read the results below!

Ask not what your city can do for you, but what you can do for your city!
Reflection

If we're successful, we'll spend the rest of our days harvesting yester year's carpets and other petrochemically derived products, and recycling them into new materials; and converting sunlight into energy; with zero scrap going to the landfill and zero emissions into the ecosytem. And we'll be doing well ... very well ... by doing good. That's the vision.

- Ray Anderson, Founder and Chairman of Interface
